So, let’s assume that you are looking for a Philadelphia, PA Assisted Living home for your parents. Let’s also assume that you know the Philadelphia is a good place to retire. Maybe you have lived there for many years. What should you be looking for in an Assisted Living Facility?

The first consideration that you need to grapple with is the level of care required, and that is all about the health condition of your loved ones. Are they healthy mostly? Of course, every elderly citizen is battling something. But do they require daily medical supervision of any kind?

Those who are trying to deal with difficult diseases that causes discomfort that just won’t go away should probably be looking for full time nursing facility. Yes, your parents could do the home care option, but unless you are able and willing to have them move with you, they need to be in a safe place that will let them live in some level of independence. Once you figure out the level of care, be sure to look closely at the pricing. Do your homework and make sure you don’t end up paying for more than you expected.
